Vietnam pharmaceuticals imports up 76.60 percent in March 2026 / Italy +211.19%, Germany +31.58%

Vietnam imported pharmaceuticals to the tune of US$376 million in March, up from US$212.75 million in February, a change of 76.60 percent, according to preliminary data from Vietnam’s General Department of Customs.

Year to date, Vietnam imported US$889 million worth of pharmaceuticals by the end of March.

Italy accounted for US$37 million in March, up from US$12 million in February, a 211.19 percent increase. Year to date, imports from Italy reached US$79 million.

Germany followed with US$35 million in March, up from US$27 million in February, a 31.58 percent increase. Year to date, imports from Germany totalled US$90 million.

India recorded US$33 million in March, up from US$18 million in February, an 83.63 percent increase. Year to date, imports from India reached US$71 million.

The USA posted US$31 million in March, up from US$18 million in February, a 70.90 percent increase. Year to date, imports from the USA totalled US$67 million.

France rounded out the top five with US$29 million in March, up from US$25 million in February, a 15.73 percent increase. Year to date, imports from France reached US$107 million.
