Vietnam-Italy trade relations
Vietnam–Italy trade relations are supported by the European Union–Vietnam Free Trade Agreement, which has reduced tariffs and improved market access.
Bilateral trade is driven by Vietnam’s exports of textiles, footwear, electronics and agricultural products, while Italy supplies machinery, chemicals and industrial inputs.
Italy is a key European partner for Vietnam, particularly in manufacturing cooperation, technology transfer and high-value industrial sectors.
However, trade remains below potential due to logistical barriers, regulatory differences and limited market penetration by small and medium-sized enterprises.
