I’m Mark, and you will be writing for me.
I’m interested in emerging market economies, interesting and unique stories with strong business and finance angles, and news that I can’t find elsewhere.
I like accuracy, lots of evidence (especially good data), and objectivity.
I do not like marketing copy and propaganda.
If you need ideas, I put out a daily digest of things that have piqued my interest, which might be a good place to start.
I write a lot about Vietnam because that is something I know well, but I am more looking for stories from other parts of Southeast Asia.
I’m also open to taking on interns interested in business journalism, but this would need to be unpaid.
