Vietnam iron and steel exports up 35.50 percent MoM in March 2026 / India +81.45%, Indonesia +191.63%

Vietnam exported iron and steel to the tune of US$698 million in March, up from US$515 million in February, a change of 35.50 percent, according to preliminary data from Vietnam’s General Department of Customs.

Year to date, Vietnam had exported US$1,861 million worth of iron and steel by the end of March.

India accounted for US$116 million in March, up from US$64 million in February, a rise of 81.45 percent. Year to date, exports to India reached US$249 million.

Indonesia followed with US$95 million in March, up from US$33 million in February, an increase of 191.63 percent. Year to date, exports to Indonesia totalled US$157 million.

Cambodia recorded US$94 million in March, up from US$64 million in February, a gain of 48.03 percent. Year to date, exports to Cambodia reached US$224 million.

The United States registered US$68 million in March, down from US$88 million in February, a decline of 23.27 percent. Year to date, exports to the United States stood at US$260 million.

Italy rounded out the top five with US$53 million in March, down from US$59 million in February, a fall of 9.94 percent. Year to date, exports to Italy reached US$135 million.
