ToggleIn February, Vietnam exported US$433 million worth of goods to Taiwan, down 19.02 percent over January, according to preliminary data from Vietnam’s General Department of Customs.
So far this year, Vietnam has exported US$967 million worth of goods to Taiwan.
Vietnam exported US$139.09 million worth of computers to Taiwan in February. This was down from US$144.59 million in January, a change of 3.80 percent.
It also exported US$79.12 million worth of machinery, equipment, tools, and instruments to Taiwan in February. This was down from US$111.16 million in January, a change of 28.82 percent.
Vietnam exported US$55.24 million worth of phones to Taiwan in February. This was up from US$18.41 million in January, a change of 200.10 percent.
It also exported US$25.51 million worth of other products to Taiwan in February. This was down from US$41.88 million in January, a change of 39.09 percent.
Vietnam exported US$13.78 million worth of iron and steel products to Taiwan in February. This was down from US$19.56 million in January, a change of 29.58 percent.

Vietnam trade with Taiwan
In February, Vietnam imported US$2,615.37 million worth of goods from Taiwan and exported US$432.87 million to Taiwan, for total trade worth US$3,048.24 million, and leaving a trade deficit of US$2,182.51 million.
Two-way trade so far this year between Vietnam and Taiwan has reached US$7,224 million, with Vietnam importing US$6,257 million worth of goods and exporting US$967 million worth of goods.

Taiwan Cooler Master factory expansion plans
Taiwan’s Cooler Master plans to increase its investment in Vietnam’s Bac Ninh province to US$3 billion, expanding its production of cooling systems for artificial intelligence servers and data centres.
The company’s initial project, approved in 2023 and expanded to US$200 million in 2024, began operations in July 2025 with about 1,300 workers. Read more→

Taiwan-based UNIVACCO Technology Inc. has leased 29,742.4 square metres at Long Thanh Industrial Park in Dong Nai.

Vietnam-Taiwan trade relations
Vietnam and Taiwan have developed strong economic ties over the past decades, driven primarily by trade, investment, and manufacturing linkages.
Taiwan is one of Vietnam’s largest foreign investors, with companies active in electronics, textiles, and industrial production.
