Vietnam exports to China down 25.58 percent February 2026 MoM / computers 0.79%, phones -21.36%

In February, Vietnam exported US$4,705 million worth of goods to China, down 25.58 percent over January, according to preliminary data from Vietnam’s General Department of Customs.

So far this year, Vietnam has exported US$11,027 million worth of goods to China.

Vietnam exported US$1,467.50 million worth of computers to China in February. This was up from US$1,455.94 million in January, a change of 0.79 percent.

It also exported US$1,032.37 million worth of phones to China in February. This was down from US$1,312.75 million in January, a change of 21.36 percent.

Vietnam exported US$346.58 million worth of still image and video cameras, and parts thereof, to China in February. This was down from US$449.92 million in January, a change of 22.97 percent.

It also exported US$316.11 million worth of machinery, equipment, tools, and instruments to China in February. This was down from US$525.83 million in January, a change of 39.88 percent.

Vietnam exported US$245.37 million worth of fishery products to China in February. This was up from US$244.61 million in January, a change of 0.31 percent.

Vietnam’s trade with China

In February, Vietnam imported US$12,720.06 million worth of goods from China and exported US$4,704.84 million to China, for total trade worth US$17,424.90 million, and leaving a trade deficit of US$8015.22 million.

Two-way trade so far this year between Vietnam and China has reached US$42,901 million, with Vietnam importing US$31,874 million worth of goods and exporting US$11,027 million worth of goods.

China battery project VN

China-headquartered, US-listed E Power Inc. said it plans to expand into Vietnam through a partnership with ATSC Solartech to build local production for battery materials.

China’s JinkoSolar has terminated a planned US$1.5 billion photovoltaic panel manufacturing project in Quang Ninh province.

Vietnam-China trade relations
