ToggleVietnam exported fruits and vegetables to the tune of US$532 million in March, up from US$351 million in February, a change of 51.56 percent, according to preliminary data from Vietnam’s General Department of Customs.
Year to date, Vietnam exported US$1,528 million worth of fruits and vegetables by the end of March.
China accounted for US$241 million in March, up from US$162 million in February, a rise of 48.41 percent. Year-to-date exports to China reached US$779 million.
The United States followed with US$51 million in March, up from US$31 million, a rise of 63.30 percent. Year-to-date exports totalled US$130 million.
South Korea recorded US$34 million in March, up from US$17 million, a rise of 95.68 percent. Year-to-date exports reached US$77 million.
Japan posted US$23 million in March, up from US$15 million, a rise of 60.26 percent. Year-to-date exports stood at US$58 million.
The Netherlands rounded out the top five with US$20 million in March, up from US$7 million, a rise of 172.35 percent. Year-to-date exports reached US$37 million.

Vietnam’s fruits and vegetables industry is a major export sector, supplying fresh and processed produce to markets across Asia, Europe, and North America.
The sector has expanded rapidly in recent years, driven by strong demand from China and growing access to high-value markets through trade agreements.
