ToggleIn February, Vietnam exported US$288 million worth of goods to France, down 30.38 percent over January, according to preliminary data from Vietnam’s General Department of Customs.
So far this year, Vietnam has exported US$702 million worth of goods to France.
Vietnam exported US$76.36 million worth of phones to France in February. This was down from US$80.47 million in January, a change of -5.11 percent.
It also exported US$37.24 million worth of footwear to France in February. This was down from US$74.20 million in January, a change of -49.81 percent.
Vietnam exported US$28.76 million worth of computers to France in February. This was down from US$32.52 million in January, a change of -11.55 percent.
Exports of other products reached US$26.57 million in February. This was down from US$37.79 million in January, a change of -29.68 percent.
Vietnam also exported US$26.02 million worth of machine, equipment, tools and instruments to France in February. This was down from US$41.03 million in January, a change of -36.58 percent.

Vietnam trade with France YTD
In February, Vietnam imported US$155.63 million worth of goods from France and exported US$288.19 million to France, for total trade worth US$443.82 million, and leaving a trade surplus of US$132.56 million.
Two-way trade so far this year between Vietnam and France has reached US$1,147 million, with Vietnam importing US$445 million worth of goods and exporting US$702 million worth of goods.

EU report VN fruit / veg imports pesticide residues
A February 2026 report by France’s Directorate General for Food, based on 2024 data, identified food safety risks in some fruit and vegetable imports from Vietnam.

Vietnam-France trade relations
