ToggleVietnam exported fruits and vegetables to the tune of US$351 million in February, down from US$644 million in January, a change of -45.51 percent, according to preliminary data from Vietnam’s General Department of Customs.
Year to date, Vietnam had exported US$996 million worth of fruits and vegetables by the end of February.
China accounted for US$162 million worth of Vietnam’s fruits and vegetables exports in February, down from US$376 million in January, a change of 56.82 percent. Year to date, Vietnam has shipped US$538 million worth of fruits and vegetables to China.
The USA followed, accounting for US$31 million worth of Vietnam’s fruits and vegetables exports in February, down from US$49 million in January, a change of 36.22 percent. Year to date, Vietnam has shipped US$79 million worth of fruits and vegetables to the USA.
Next was South Korea, taking US$17 million worth of Vietnam’s fruits and vegetables exports in February, down from US$25 million in January, a change of 31.58 percent. Year to date, Vietnam has shipped US$43 million worth of fruits and vegetables to South Korea.
Japan followed, representing US$15 million worth of Vietnam’s fruits and vegetables exports in February, down from US$20 million in January, a change of 28.62 percent. Year to date, Vietnam has shipped US$35 million worth of fruits and vegetables to Japan.
Rounding out the top five was Malaysia, accounting for US$10 million worth of Vietnam’s fruits and vegetables exports in February, down from US$13 million in January, a change of 26.08 percent. Year to date, Vietnam has shipped US$23 million worth of fruits and vegetables to Malaysia.
