Vietnam exported fibre and yarn to the tune of US$438 million in March, up from US$257 million in February, a change of 70.58 percent, according to preliminary data from Vietnam’s General Department of Customs.
Year to date, Vietnam had exported US$1,077 million worth of fibre and yarn by the end of March.
China accounted for US$242 million of Vietnam’s fibre and yarn exports in March, up from US$125 million in February, a rise of 93.25 percent. Year to date, exports to China reached US$573 million.
South Korea followed with US$33 million in March, up from US$22 million in February, a 50.06 percent increase. Year to date, exports totalled US$81 million.
The USA recorded US$19 million in March, up from US$10 million in February, a rise of 97.00 percent. Year to date, shipments reached US$45 million.
Bangladesh posted US$15 million in March, up from US$11 million in February, a 38.70 percent increase. Year to date, exports totalled US$40 million.
Taiwan rounded out the top five with US$15 million in March, up from US$8 million in February, an 88.96 percent increase. Year to date, exports reached US$35 million.
