Year to date, Vietnam had imported US$1,607 million worth of essential oils and resinoids; perfumery, cosmetic or toilet preparations by the end of December.
Singapore accounted for US$48 million worth of Vietnam’s essential oils and resinoids; perfumery, cosmetic or toilet preparations imports in December. This was up from US$34 million in essential oils and resinoids; perfumery, cosmetic or toilet preparations imports in November, a change of 43.69 percent. Year to date, Singapore has shipped US$404 million worth of essential oils and resinoids; perfumery, cosmetic or toilet preparations to Vietnam.
After Singapore was South Korea making up US$33 million worth of Vietnam’s essential oils and resinoids; perfumery, cosmetic or toilet preparations imports in December. This was up from US$22 million in essential oils and resinoids; perfumery, cosmetic or toilet preparations imports in November, a change of 49.68 percent. Year to date, South Korea has shipped US$256 million worth of essential oils and resinoids; perfumery, cosmetic or toilet preparations to Vietnam.
Next was China contributing US$28 million worth of Vietnam’s essential oils and resinoids; perfumery, cosmetic or toilet preparations imports in December. This was up from US$26 million in essential oils and resinoids; perfumery, cosmetic or toilet preparations imports in November, a change of 9.03 percent. Year to date, China has shipped US$223 million worth of essential oils and resinoids; perfumery, cosmetic or toilet preparations to Vietnam.
Following China was Thailand representing US$18 million worth of Vietnam’s essential oils and resinoids; perfumery, cosmetic or toilet preparations imports in December. This was up from US$13 million in essential oils and resinoids; perfumery, cosmetic or toilet preparations imports in November, a change of 39.25 percent. Year to date, Thailand has shipped US$173 million worth of essential oils and resinoids; perfumery, cosmetic or toilet preparations to Vietnam.
Rounding out the top five was Indonesia constituting US$12 million worth of Vietnam’s essential oils and resinoids; perfumery, cosmetic or toilet preparations imports in December. This was up from US$12 million in essential oils and resinoids; perfumery, cosmetic or toilet preparations imports in November, a change of 5.94 percent. Year to date, Indonesia has shipped US$110 million worth of essential oils and resinoids; perfumery, cosmetic or toilet preparations to Vietnam.

South Korea medical container factory
HuM&C, a healthcare materials subsidiary of Huons Group, has launched its first overseas medical container factory in Hung Yen Province, Vietnam, with full-scale production starting in the second quarter of 2025.
The Vietnam facility, operated by HuM&C Vina, can produce 60 million vials and 40 million cartridges annually, positioning it as a global production hub.
