Vietnam-South Korea news
Recent developments involving the two countries include:
Korean series filming Hanoi
Disney+ has resumed filming its series Delusion in Hanoi after the production cancelled a planned shoot in China two months ago, Korean outlet OSEN reported on December 2.
The China schedule was scrapped in October due to unspecified “local circumstances,” with industry observers linking the decision to fallout from an anti-China backlash tied to another Disney+ drama, Polaris.
South Korea logistics expansion
South Korea’s POSCO Group has established a logistics corporation in Vietnam to strengthen its global supply chain and support steel, raw material and secondary battery material flows.
POSCO Flow has completed corporate registration with the Vietnamese government and plans to launch full operations in December.
The subsidiary currently manages POSCO’s global logistics network, operates in multiple countries and recorded more than 2.5 trillion won (about US$94.9 million) in sales last year.

Vietnam-South Korea trade relations
Vietnam and South Korea established trade relations in the early 1990s, with ties accelerating after the normalization of diplomatic relations in 1992 and the rapid expansion of Korean investment in Vietnam.
A key milestone was the Vietnam South Korea Free Trade Agreement, which took effect in 2015 and deepened cooperation in trade, services and investment.
Bilateral trade has also been strengthened through multilateral frameworks such as the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership.
South Korea is now one of Vietnam’s largest trading partners and foreign investors, with strong linkages in electronics, manufacturing and supply chains.
