ToggleVietnam imported computers, electrical products, spare-parts and components thereof to the tune of US$14,265 million in December, up from US$12,907 million in November, a change of 10.52 percent, according to preliminary data from Vietnam’s General Department of Customs.
Year to date, Vietnam had imported US$150,697 million worth of computers, electrical products, spare-parts and components thereof by the end of December.
China accounted for US$4,968 million worth of Vietnam’s computers, electrical products, spare-parts and components thereof imports in December. This was up from US$4,781 million in computers, electrical products, spare-parts and components thereof imports in November, a change of 3.92 percent. Year to date, China has shipped US$52,886 million worth of computers, electrical products, spare-parts and components thereof to Vietnam.
After China was South Korea making up US$3,856 million worth of Vietnam’s computers, electrical products, spare-parts and components thereof imports in December. This was up from US$3,128 million in computers, electrical products, spare-parts and components thereof imports in November, a change of 23.25 percent. Year to date, South Korea has shipped US$37,911 million worth of computers, electrical products, spare-parts and components thereof to Vietnam.
Next was Taiwan contributing US$2,262 million worth of Vietnam’s computers, electrical products, spare-parts and components thereof imports in December. This was up from US$2,005 million in computers, electrical products, spare-parts and components thereof imports in November, a change of 12.85 percent. Year to date, Taiwan has shipped US$23,714 million worth of computers, electrical products, spare-parts and components thereof to Vietnam.
Following Taiwan was Japan representing US$680 million worth of Vietnam’s computers, electrical products, spare-parts and components thereof imports in December. This was up from US$634 million in computers, electrical products, spare-parts and components thereof imports in November, a change of 7.27 percent. Year to date, Japan has shipped US$8,347 million worth of computers, electrical products, spare-parts and components thereof to Vietnam.
Rounding out the top five was the USA constituting US$512 million worth of Vietnam’s computers, electrical products, spare-parts and components thereof imports in December. This was down from US$543 million in computers, electrical products, spare-parts and components thereof imports in November, a change of 5.72 percent. Year to date, USA has shipped US$5,460 million worth of computers, electrical products, spare-parts and components thereof to Vietnam.

Robot dog manufacturing HCMC
United States robotics company AMC Robotics, listed on the Nasdaq under ticker AMCI, has established a subsidiary in Ho Chi Minh City to manufacture its Kyro robotic dog.
AMC Robotics said the production base was chosen due to Viet Nam’s electronics manufacturing ecosystem, cost conditions, and tariff stability.
