ToggleIn October, Vietnam exported US$1.23 billion worth of goods to Netherlands, up 8 percent over September, according to preliminary data from Vietnam’s General Department of Customs.
So far this year, Vietnam has exported US$11,026 million worth of goods to Netherlands.
Vietnam’s biggest export to Netherlands in value terms was computers, electrical products, and spare-parts, with US$389.84 million worth shipped. This was up 18.29 percent over September. It brings the total exported so far this year to US$2836.64 million.
This was followed by machine, equipment, tools and instruments, valued at US$182.97 million, down 0.77 percent from September. Year-to-date these exports reached US$1826.76 million.
Footwear were also popular with exports to Netherlands totalling US$162.80 million, rising 5.53 percent over September. Cumulative shipments now stand at US$1490.27 million.
Textiles and garments also featured prominently accounting for US$129.13 million worth of exports to Netherlands, an increase of 28.26 percent versus September. Total exports so far this year are US$1110.75 million.
Exports of telephones, mobile phones and parts thereof to Netherlands round out the top five, with US$84.30 million shipped.

Vietnam trade with Netherlands
In October, Vietnam imported US$76.80 million worth of goods from Netherlands and exported US$1,234.01 million, for total trade worth US$1,310.82 million, and leaving a trade surplus of US$1,157.21 million.
Two-way trade so far this year between Vietnam and Netherlands has reached US$11,690 million, with Vietnam importing US$664 million worth of goods and exporting US$11,026 million worth of goods.

Royal De Heus plans to invest in Tay Ninh
Dutch agribusiness giant Royal De Heus plans to invest around VND 10 trillion or US$384.6 million in a chain of high-tech agricultural projects in Tay Ninh with local partner Hung Nhon Group, it was reported in October.
The 2025–2030 plan includes 12 projects covering feed production, seed development, livestock farming, processing and export, aiming to generate about US$2 billion in value by 2030.

Vietnam-Netherlands trade relations
Vietnam and the Netherlands maintain a long-standing trade relationship built on maritime connectivity, agricultural cooperation and investment.
The Netherlands is one of Vietnam’s largest European trading partners, supported by the EU–Vietnam Free Trade Agreement, which reduces tariffs and promotes market access for goods and services.
Dutch firms have played a significant role in logistics, seaports, renewable energy and high-tech agriculture, making the Netherlands a major investor in Vietnam.
Economic ties have expanded steadily since diplomatic relations were established and elevated to a comprehensive partnership in 2019.
