Vietnam’s footwear manufacturing industry

Vietnam’s footwear industry is one of the country’s top export earners, supplying major global brands such as Nike, Adidas, and Puma through foreign-invested manufacturers like Pou Chen, Changshin, and Ching Luh.

The industry benefits from Vietnam’s skilled labour, competitive costs, and participation in free trade agreements, which give it access to key markets including the US and EU.

At the same time, local companies such as TBS Group and Biti’s are expanding their presence, investing in design and branding to move up the value chain.

The sector continues to attract new investment in green production and automation, solidifying Vietnam’s position as the world’s second-largest footwear exporter after China.
