ToggleVietnam exported chemicals to the tune of US$207 million in November, down from US$263 million in October, a change of -21.17 percent, according to preliminary data from Vietnam’s General Department of Customs.
Year to date, Vietnam had exported US$2,519 million worth of chemicals by the end of November.
Japan accounted for US$43 million worth of Vietnam’s chemical exports in November. This was up from US$40 million in chemicals exports in October, a change of 8.76 percent. Year to date, Vietnam has shipped US$360 million worth of chemicals to Japan.
After Japan was China making up US$42 million worth of Vietnam’s chemical exports in November. This was down from US$73 million in chemicals exports in October, a change of -42.17 percent. Year to date, Vietnam has shipped US$612 million worth of chemicals to China.
Next was India taking US$27 million worth of Vietnam’s chemical exports in November. This was up from US$13 million in chemicals exports in October, a change of 98.64 percent. Year to date, Vietnam has shipped US$357 million worth of chemicals to India.
Following India was Thailand representing US$23 million worth of Vietnam’s chemical exports in November. This was down from US$31 million in chemicals exports in October, a change of -25.57 percent. Year to date, Vietnam has shipped US$140 million worth of chemicals to Thailand.
Rounding out the top five was South Korea constituting US$14 million worth of Vietnam’s chemical exports in November. This was up from US$12 million in chemicals exports in October, a change of 21.72 percent. Year to date, Vietnam has shipped US$139 million worth of chemicals to South Korea.

Vietnam chemicals imports
Vietnam imported chemicals to the tune of US$640 million in November, down from US$720 million in October, a change of -11.18 percent, according to preliminary data from Vietnam’s General Department of Customs.
Year to date, Vietnam had imported US$7,271 million worth of chemicals by the end of November.

Duc Giang Chemicals Group JSC
Duc Giang Chemicals Group JSC (DGC) manufactures and exports industrial chemicals, phosphorus, and fertilisers across Asia and Europe.
DGC closed at VND 68,500 on Wednesday up 3.3 percent with 111,013,000 shares traded, worth VND 756,057 million.
Foreign ownership in DGC is currently capped at 49.0 percent, with current foreign ownership sitting at 6.6 percent.
PetroVietnam Fertilizer and Chemicals Corporation
PetroVietnam Fertilizer and Chemicals Corporation (DPM) produces urea and chemical fertilisers under the Phu My brand.
DPM closed at VND 22,250 on Wednesday down 0.15 percent with 14,297,000 shares traded, worth VND 32,043 million.
Foreign ownership in DPM is currently capped at 50.0 percent, with current foreign ownership sitting at 3.6 percent.
