ToggleIn November, Vietnam exported US$563 million worth of goods to Australia, down 12.55 percent over October, according to preliminary data from Vietnam’s General Department of Customs.
So far this year, Vietnam has exported US$6,146 million worth of goods to Australia.
Vietnam exported US$83.22 million worth of computers, electrical products, and spare-parts to Australia in November. This was down from US$93.73 million in October, a change of -11.22 percent.
It also exported US$64.70 million worth of crude oil to Australia in November. This was down from US$99.13 million in October, a change of -34.73 percent.
Adding to that, Vietnam exported US$57.00 million worth of telephones, mobile phones and parts thereof to Australia in November. This was up from US$35.86 million in October, a change of 58.94 percent.
It also exported US$44.91 million worth of machines, equipment, tools and instruments to Australia in November. This was down from US$67.53 million in October, a change of -33.50 percent.
Finally, Vietnam exported US$42.91 million worth of textiles and garments to Australia in November. This was down from US$45.47 million in October, a change of -5.63 percent.

Vietnam imports from Australia
In November, Vietnam imported US$482.57 million worth of goods from Australia, down from US$783.86 million in October, a change of -38.44 percent, according to preliminary data from Vietnam’s General Department of Customs.
So far this year, Vietnam has imported US$6,489 million worth of goods from Australia.

Vietnam trade with Australia
In November, Vietnam imported goods worth US$482.57 million from Australia and exported US$562.88 million, bringing total trade to US$1045.45 million and resulting in a trade surplus of US$80.31 million.
Two-way trade so far this year between Vietnam and Australia has reached US$12,634.98 million, with Vietnam importing US$6,489.44 million worth of goods and exporting US$6,145.54 million.

Vietnam-Australia trade relations
Vietnam and Australia established diplomatic relations in the 1970s and have steadily deepened economic ties through bilateral and regional engagement.
Trade relations are underpinned by agreements including the ASEAN–Australia–New Zealand Free Trade Area, the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership, and the Australia–Vietnam Enhanced Economic Engagement Strategy, supporting growth in agriculture, resources, education, and manufacturing supply chains.
