Aviation competition concerns
Tuoi Tre is reporting that an unnamed executive has warned that without significant upgrades, domestic airlines will struggle to retain passengers as competition intensifies.
It notes international airlines are rapidly expanding in Vietnam, increasing frequencies, adding new routes and upgrading services and that this is raising standards across seating, in-flight meals, entertainment and ground-handling processes.
Ed.’s notes: Domestic aviation sector heavily regulated – in particular ticket prices – makes international routes important profit drivers. International routes also key source of foreign currency for airlines – hedging against fuel prices/aircraft leases denominated in foreign currencies.

Fake Bamboo Airways recruitment drive

The article says scammers have been sending false cabin crew recruitment messages, interview invitations and fee requests while asking applicants to share personal data.
Ed.’s notes: Part of the problem is that it is not unheard of for people to pay for their jobs/positions. Needs culture shift, maybe.

Low cost models priced from VND 5–8 million offer 6–8 place capacity and basic drying for small households. A Galanz 8 place model priced at VND 4.9 million includes sterilisation, a timer and child lock.
Ed.’s notes: Adds to a series of articles on high-end electrical appliances that read like marketing copy from Vietnamnet — fridges, televisions, rice cookers, clothes driers, and now dishwashers.
