Vietnam-Philippines trade relations
Vietnam and the Philippines maintain a strong and growing trade partnership within ASEAN, characterised by complementary economic strengths.
Vietnam exports rice, machinery, electronics, and construction materials to the Philippines, while importing agricultural products, processed foods, and chemicals.
Both countries are members of the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) and the ASEAN Free Trade Area (AFTA), which reduce tariffs and encourage greater trade and investment flows.
In recent years, bilateral cooperation has expanded beyond trade to include renewable energy, logistics, and digital transformation, reflecting efforts to deepen economic integration between the two economies.
