Vietnam minimum wage regions to change at next wage hike

The four regions by which Vietnam defines what minimum wage should be paid where, are to be updated this year when the minimum wage rises in July. This will see several local government areas move up a bracket giving an extra boost to minimum wage workers in these areas.

Moving from region two to region one will be: Hai Duong’s Hai Duong City; Quang Ninh’s Quang Yen town, Dong Trieu town, Uong Bi city, and Mong Cai city; Dong Nai’s Thong Nhat district; and Long An’s Tan An city, Duc Hoa district, Ben Luc district, and Can Giuoc district.

From region three to regiontwo will be:  Bac Giang’s, Viet Yen town, Yen Dung district, and Bac Giang city; Hai Duong’s Chi Linh City, Kinh Mon town and Cam Giang, Binh Giang, Tu Ky, Gia Loc, Nam Sach, and Kim Thanh districts; Thai Binh’s Thai Binh city; Thanh Hoa’s Thanh Hoa city, Sam Son city, and Bim Son town; Dong Nai’s Tan Phu  and Cam My districts; Ninh Hoa town in Khanh Hoa; Soc Trang City in Soc Trang; and Kien Tuong town in Long An.

Finally fromregion four to region three will be: Ninh Giang, Thanh Mien, and Thanh Ha districts in Hai Duong; Thai Thuy and Tien Hai districts in Thai Binh; Trieu Son, Tho Xuan, Yen Dinh, Vinh Loc, Thieu Hoa, Ha Trung, Hau Loc, Nga Son, Hoang Hoa, and Nong Cong districts in Thanh Hoa province; and Ninh Phuoc district in Ninh Thuan province.
