In October, Vietnam exported US$499 million worth of goods to UAE, up 3.91 percent over September, according to preliminary data from Vietnam’s General Department of Customs.
So far this year, Vietnam has exported US$4,899 million worth of goods to UAE.
Vietnam exported US$263.11 million worth of telephones to UAE in October. This was up from US$256.95 million in September, a change of 2.40 percent.
Vietnam exported US$51.81 million worth of computers, electrical products, and spare-parts to UAE in October. This was up from US$48.00 million in September, a change of 7.92 percent.
Vietnam exported US$27.53 million worth of footwear to UAE in October. This was up from US$24.28 million in September, a change of 13.38 percent.
Vietnam exported US$21.76 million worth of cashew nut to UAE in October. This was up from US$19.53 million in September, a change of 11.38 percent.

Vietnam trade with UAE
In October, Vietnam imported US$66.63 million worth of goods from UAE and exported US$498.57 million, for total trade worth US$565.20 million, and leaving a trade surplus of US$431.94 million.
Two-way trade so far this year between Vietnam and UAE has reached US$5,379 million, with Vietnam importing US$480 million worth of goods and exporting US$4,899 million worth of goods.

Vietnam-UAE trade relations
Vietnam and the United Arab Emirates established diplomatic relations in the 90s and have since developed strong economic and trade links.
Bilateral cooperation has expanded through agreements on investment, aviation and economic partnership, with the UAE serving as a key gateway for Vietnamese goods into the Middle East.
Trade between the two countries has grown steadily, led by Vietnam’s exports of phones, electronics and agricultural products, and the UAE’s supply of oil, chemicals and materials.
Negotiations toward a Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement aim to reduce tariffs, improve market access and support further investment flows.
