ToggleIn October, Vietnam imported US$290.91 million worth of goods from Cambodia, up from US$275.05 million in September, a change of 5.76 percent, according to preliminary data from Vietnam’s General Department of Customs.
So far this year, Vietnam has imported US$4,795 million worth of goods from Cambodia.
Vietnam imported US$104.71 million worth of rubber from Cambodia in October. This was up from US$79.24 million in September, a change of 32.14 percent.
Vietnam imported US$26.26 million worth of cashew nut from Cambodia in October. This was down from US$26.65 million in September, a change of -1.48 percent.
Vietnam imported US$9.52 million worth of textile, leather and footwear materials and auxiliaries from Cambodia in October. This was up from US$7.24 million in September, a change of 31.58 percent.
Vietnam imported US$05.15 million worth of ores and other mineral products from Cambodia in October. This was down from US$5.17 million in September, a change of -0.42 percent.

Vietnam trade with Cambodia
In October, Vietnam imported goods worth US$290.91 million from Cambodia and exported US$478.30 million, bringing total trade to US$769.21 million and resulting in a trade surplus of US$187.39 million.
Two-way trade so far this year between Vietnam and Cambodia has reached US$9496.97 million, with Vietnam importing US$4794.64 million worth of goods and exporting US$4702.33 million.

Tan Cang–Moc Bai dry port
At the end of October, Vietnam’s Ministry of Construction has approved the opening of the Tan Cang–Moc Bai dry port in Tay Ninh province, marking the completion of its first phase.
Located in the Moc Bai border economic zone, the facility is equipped with container yards, bonded warehouses, and modern cargo-handling systems.
It can process high cargo volumes from Cambodia and connects directly to ports in Ho Chi Minh City and the Cai Mep–Thi Vai complex.
Sugar smuggled Cambodia to Vietnam
Vietnam’s domestic sugar market is under strain from several pressures including illegal imports.
Vietnamsugar industry representatives warned back in November that smuggled sugar from Thailand is entering Vietnam through Cambodia.

Vietnam-Cambodia trade relations
Vietnam and Cambodia share a long history of trade supported by their shared border and close diplomatic relations.
Both countries have signed bilateral trade agreements and cooperate under regional frameworks to facilitate cross-border commerce.
