Vietnam-Mexico news
Recent developments involving the two countries include:
Coffee sales to Mexico
Dan Tri was reporting in November that Mexico spent nearly 35 times more on Vietnamese coffee in the first ten months of 2025 than the same period in 2024, reaching US$195.2 million.
The Vietnam Coffee and Cocoa Association called it a sudden surge, noting Mexico is itself the world’s eighth-largest coffee exporter with stable domestic output.
Analyst Nguyen Quang Binh said the rise stems from a 50 percent US tariff on Brazilian coffee, pushing American buyers to source Arabica from Mexico, which then imports cheaper Robusta for local consumption from Vietnam.
