Vietnam’s furniture industry
Vietnam’s non-wood furniture industry includes products made from materials such as metal, plastic, rattan, bamboo, and composites, serving both domestic and export markets.
The sector has grown alongside shifting global demand for lightweight, cost-effective, and design-flexible alternatives to traditional wooden furniture.
Export performance is closely tied to key markets, including the United States, the European Union, and regional Asian economies, with supply chains often integrated into broader furniture manufacturing networks.
Producers face ongoing pressures from raw material costs, environmental standards, and competition from other low-cost manufacturing hubs, while also benefiting from diversification trends in global sourcing.
