Plastic products imports Vietnam up 1.06 percent in November, China / South Korea top suppliers

Vietnam imported plastic products to the tune of US$960 million in November, up from US$950 million in October, a change of 1.06 percent, according to preliminary data from Vietnam’s General Department of Customs.

Year to date, Vietnam had imported US$9,781 million worth of plastic products by the end of November.

China accounted for US$613 million worth of Vietnam’s plastic products imports in November. This was up from US$601 million in plastic products imports in October, a change of 2.02 percent. Year to date, China has shipped US$6,157 million worth of plastic products to Vietnam.

After China was South Korea making up US$134 million worth of Vietnam’s plastic products imports in November. This was up from US$120 million in plastic products imports in October, a change of 11.52 percent. Year to date, South Korea has shipped US$1,376 million worth of plastic products to Vietnam.

Next was Japan contributing US$79 million worth of Vietnam’s plastic products imports in November. This was down from US$88 million in plastic products imports in October, a change of 9.89 percent. Year to date, Japan has shipped US$848 million worth of plastic products to Vietnam.

Following Japan was Taiwan representing US$27 million worth of Vietnam’s plastic products imports in November. This was up from US$26 million in plastic products imports in October, a change of 2.26 percent. Year to date, Taiwan has shipped US$291 million worth of plastic products to Vietnam.

Rounding out the top five was Thailand constituting US$22 million worth of Vietnam’s plastic products imports in November. This was down from US$23 million in plastic products imports in October, a change of 2.74 percent. Year to date, Thailand has shipped US$238 million worth of plastic products to Vietnam.

Binh Minh Plastics JSC

Binh Minh Plastics JSC (BMP) manufactures and distributes plastic pipes, fittings, and construction materials for water and drainage systems.
