ToggleIn November, Vietnam imported US$180.10 million worth of goods from Italy, up from US$175.83 million in October, a change of 2.43 percent, according to preliminary data from Vietnam’s General Department of Customs.
So far this year, Vietnam has imported US$1,825 million worth of goods from Italy.
Vietnam imported US$41.93 million worth of machines, equipment, tools and instruments from Italy in November. This was down from US$44.35 million in October, a change of -5.47 percent.
Vietnam imported US$31.36 million worth of pharmaceutical products from Italy in November. This was up from US$23.54 million in October, a change of 33.21 percent.
Vietnam imported US$17.62 million worth of textile, leather and footwear materials and auxiliaries from Italy in November. This was down from US$19.52 million in October, a change of -9.72 percent.
Vietnam imported US$12.46 million worth of fabrics from Italy in November. This was down from US$15.48 million in October, a change of -19.52 percent.

Vietnam trade with Italy
In November, Vietnam imported goods worth US$180.10 million from Italy and exported US$395.74 million, bringing total trade to US$575.85 million and resulting in a trade surplus of US$215.64 million.
Two-way trade so far this year between Vietnam and Italy has reached US$6,660.13 million, with Vietnam importing US$1,825.18 million worth of goods and exporting US$4,834.95 million.

Italian brand supply chain investigation
Italian prosecutors in Milan have launched an investigation into 13 luxury fashion brands over labour conditions in their overseas supply chains.
Brands ordered to hand over documents include Versace, Gucci, Prada, Dolce & Gabbana, Missoni, Ferragamo, Yves Saint Laurent, Givenchy, Pinko, Coccinelle, Adidas, Alexander McQueen Italia and Off-White Operating.
Authorities are seeking voluntary compliance plans to improve oversight and restructure supply chains.

Vietnam-Italy trade relations
Vietnam and Italy established diplomatic relations in 1973 and have steadily expanded trade ties through bilateral agreements and Vietnam’s integration into European markets.
