Vietnam-France trade relations
Vietnam and France maintain a long standing trade relationship shaped by historical ties and expanding economic cooperation.
The two countries have strengthened trade through the EU Vietnam Free Trade Agreement, which lowers tariffs, improves market access and encourages investment in sectors such as agriculture, pharmaceuticals, aviation and consumer goods.
Bilateral trade has grown steadily as French companies increase their presence in Vietnam and Vietnamese exports diversify into higher value products.
Cooperation frameworks in education, energy and urban development further support commercial links and reflect the broader strategic partnership between the two nations.
