Vietnam-Belgium trade relations
Vietnam and Belgium established diplomatic relations in 1973 and have since built strong cooperation in trade, investment, and development.
Belgium is one of Vietnam’s key trading partners in the European Union and serves as a major logistics gateway for Vietnamese goods entering Europe through ports such as Antwerp.
Vietnam mainly exports footwear, textiles, iron and steel, coffee, and agricultural products to Belgium, while importing machinery, chemicals, and precious metals.
Belgian companies are active in Vietnam’s infrastructure, logistics, renewable energy, and high-tech sectors.
Both sides are strengthening cooperation in sustainable development, digital transformation, and green technology under the EU–Vietnam Free Trade Agreement.
