Animal feed / feed materials exports from Vietnam up 11.95 percent in December, China / Cambodia top buyers

Vietnam exported animal feed and animal fodder materials to the tune of US$149 million in December, up from US$133 million in November, a change of 11.95 percent, according to preliminary data from Vietnam’s General Department of Customs.

Year to date, Vietnam had exported US$1,438 million worth of animal fodders and animal fodder materials by the end of December.

China accounted for US$86 million worth of Vietnam’s animal fodder and animal fodder materials exports in December. This was up from US$64 million in animal fodders and animal fodder materials exports in November, a change of 35.18 percent. Year to date, Vietnam has shipped US$670 million worth of animal feed and animal fodder materials to China.

After China, Cambodia making up US$16 million worth of Vietnam’s animal fodder and animal fodder materials exports in December. This was down from US$22 million in animal fodders and animal fodder materials exports in November, a change of -24.01 percent. Year to date, Vietnam has shipped US$184 million worth of animal fodders and animal fodder materials to Cambodia.

Next was the USA taking US$9 million worth of Vietnam’s animal fodders and animal fodder materials exports in December. This was up from US$9 million in animal fodders and animal fodder materials exports in November, a change of 6.24 percent. Year to date, Vietnam has shipped US$113 million worth of animal fodders and animal fodder materials to the USA.

Following the USA was Malaysia representing US$9 million worth of Vietnam’s animal fodders and animal fodder materials exports in December. This was down from US$10 million in animal fodders and animal fodder materials exports in November, a change of -7.00 percent. Year to date, Vietnam has shipped US$114 million worth of animal fodder and animal fodder materials to Malaysia.

Rounding out the top five was Thailand constituting US$4 million worth of Vietnam’s animal fodders and animal fodder materials exports in December. This was up from US$4 million in animal fodders and animal fodder materials exports in November, a change of 6.62 percent. Year to date, Vietnam has shipped US$49 million worth of animal fodder and animal fodder materials to Thailand.
