ToggleIn December, Vietnam exported US$655 million worth of goods to Mexico, up 13.08 percent over November, according to preliminary data from Vietnam’s General Department of Customs.
So far this year, Vietnam has exported US$7,032 million worth of goods to Mexico.
Vietnam exported US$255.25 million worth of computers, electrical products, and spare parts to Mexico in December. This was up from US$190.58 million in November, a change of 33.93 percent.
Adding to that, Vietnam exported US$78.69 million worth of machines, equipment, tools and instruments to Mexico in December. This was up from US$65.89 million in November, a change of 19.42 percent.
It also exported US$61.16 million worth of other means of transportation, parts and accessories thereof to Mexico in December. This was up from US$54.21 million in November, a change of 12.83 percent.
Vietnam also exported US$53.85 million worth of footwear to Mexico in December. This was up from US$50.34 million in November, a change of 6.96 percent.

Vietnam trade with Mexico
In December, Vietnam imported US$108.95 million worth of goods from Mexico and exported US$654.91 million to Mexico, for total trade worth US$763.86 million, and leaving a trade surplus of US$545.96 million.
Two-way trade so far this year between Vietnam and Mexico has reached US$8,174 million, with Vietnam importing US$1,142 million worth of goods and exporting US$7,032 million worth of goods.

Vietnam-Mexico trade relations
Vietnam and Mexico formalised trade relations primarily through the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership, which entered into force for both countries in 2019.
Trade ties expanded rapidly after the agreement, with Vietnam exporting electronics, textiles, footwear, and furniture to Mexico, while importing agricultural products and industrial inputs, reflecting complementary manufacturing and consumer markets.
