In October, Vietnam imported US$287.90 million worth of goods from Argentina, down from US$363.22 million in September, a change of -20.74 percent, according to preliminary data from Vietnam’s General Department of Customs.
So far this year, Vietnam has imported US$3,002 million worth of goods from Argentina.
Vietnam imported US$147.98 million worth of animal fodders from Argentina in October. This was down from US$154.47 million in September, a change of -4.20 percent.
Vietnam imported US$111.73 million worth of corn from Argentina in October. This was down from US$180.61 million in September, a change of -38.14 percent.
Vietnam imported US$08.67 million worth of cotton from Argentina in October. This was up from US$4.18 million in September, a change of 107.52 percent.
Vietnam imported US$3.40 million worth of textile, leather and footwear materials and auxiliaries from Argentina in October. This was up from US$2.33 million in September, a change of 46.09 percent.

Vietnam trade with Argentina
In October, Vietnam imported goods worth US$287.90 million from Argentina and exported US$29.82 million, bringing total trade to US$317.72 million and resulting in a trade deficit of US$258.08 million.
Two-way trade so far this year between Vietnam and Argentina has reached US$3,804.32 million, with Vietnam importing US$3,002.45 million worth of goods and exporting US$801.86 million.

Vietnam-Argentina trade relations
Vietnam and Argentina established diplomatic relations in 1973 and have steadily expanded economic cooperation since then.
Bilateral trade has grown strongly as Argentina has become a major supplier of agricultural commodities such as animal feed inputs to Vietnam, while Vietnam ships manufactured goods including phones, electronics, textiles and footwear to the Argentine market.
Both countries continue to promote trade missions and joint committee dialogues to diversify product baskets and make the economic relationship more balanced and resilient over time.
