Vietnam’s wheat imports dropped over 30 percent in March

Vietnam imported US$132.68 million worth of wheat in March, down 30.22 percent from February, according to Vietnam’s General Department of Customs. The total value for the first quarter reached US$430.25 million.

Brazil remained the top supplier with US$74.40 million, despite a 12.93 percent month-on-month decline. Imports from Australia were stable at US$34.16 million, while shipments from the USA more than tripled to US$9.91 million. In contrast, imports from Russia plummeted over 93 percent and Ukraine registered no recorded imports after February.
