Vietnam’s fruit and vegetable imports rise by 20.18 percent in March

Vietnam’s imports of fruits and vegetables totalled US$199.26 million in March, reflecting a 20.18 percent increase from February. Year-to-date (YTD) imports reached US$605.09 million, according to Vietnam’s General Department of Customs.

China continued to be the largest supplier of fruits and vegetables, accounting for 37.05 percent of total imports with US$72.28 million. The USA followed with a 33.95 percent increase, amounting to US$50.36 million. Australia saw a notable 40.25 percent growth, reaching US$12.43 million, while Myanmar recorded a 55.21 percent increase, totalling US$10.87 million. Chile and Cambodia saw contrasting trends, with Chile experiencing a 57.98 percent decline, while Cambodia grew by 57.45 percent.
