Vietnam’s exports of textile, leather, footwear materials, and auxiliaries grew significantly in October 2024, with export value reaching US$202.23 million, according to Vietnam’s General Department of Customs. This marks a 15.3 percent increase compared to September’s US$175.46 million, reflecting rising demand for these essential components.
Year-to-date figures also indicate steady growth. From January to October, the sector’s exports totalled US$1.85 billion, a 13.3 percent increase compared to the same period in 2023.
The consistent growth underscores Vietnam’s role as a reliable supplier of high-quality materials for the global textile and footwear industries. October’s performance highlights the sector’s resilience and its contribution to Vietnam’s broader export economy, supported by competitive pricing and expanding market reach.
