Vietnam’s exports of clinker and cement fell by 11.27 percent month-on-month in January, reaching US$76.42 million, according to Vietnam’s General Department of Customs. This follows a decline from US$86.12 million recorded in December.

The Philippines remained the largest destination, receiving US$17.38 million, or 22.7 percent of the total, followed by Bangladesh with US$17.22 million, accounting for 22.5 percent, and Malaysia with US$4.93 million.

Among major destinations, exports to Bangladesh recorded the highest month-on-month growth, increasing by 79.37 percent, while exports to Taiwan and Australia saw significant declines of 60.71 percent and 98.91 percent, respectively. Other destinations such as Laos and Cambodia also posted declines.

Vietnam’s clinker and cement exports continue to be concentrated in Southeast Asia, with the Philippines and Bangladesh serving as key markets. The drop in exports to other regions, including Australia and Taiwan, signals a shift in demand or market conditions.
