Vietnam’s bamboo and rattan product exports totaled US$67.5 million in November 2024, showing a 10.49 percent month-on-month increase, according to Vietnam’s General Department of Customs. Year-to-date exports reached US$723.8 million, reflecting the robust demand for these eco-friendly products in global markets.
The United States emerged as the largest importer, accounting for US$23.34 million, an impressive 14.39 percent growth compared to October. Japan, the second-largest market, experienced a slight decline of 10.74 percent, importing US$6.1 million. India followed with US$3.07 million, marking a 6.50 percent decrease. Meanwhile, exports to Spain and the UK saw significant growth, with the UK recording an exceptional 100.86 percent increase at US$2.81 million.
This upward trend highlights the growing global interest in Vietnam’s sustainable bamboo and rattan products, particularly in Western markets like the US and Europe.
