Vietnam’s chemical exports rise by 3.2 percent in November

Vietnam’s chemical exports totalled US$261.14 million in November, reflecting a month-on-month increase of 3.2 percent, according to Vietnam’s General Department of Customs. The year-to-date value for chemical exports reached US$2.54 billion, demonstrating consistent demand in global markets.

China remained the leading importer, purchasing chemicals worth US$77.22 million, despite a decline of 6.82 percent compared to October. India recorded the most significant growth, with chemical imports surging by 135.33 percent to US$31.30 million. Conversely, Japan’s imports dropped by 19.48 percent to US$34.61 million. Other markets, such as Thailand and Taiwan, reported strong growth, with increases of 268.04 percent and 72.39 percent, respectively.

Vietnam’s chemical sector has shown remarkable adaptability, catering to diverse international demands and navigating challenges in trade dynamics.
