Vietnam welcomed 37,520 tourists from Thailand in November, representing a month-on-month decrease of 1,275 visitors or 3.29 percent, according to Vietnam’s General Department of Tourism.
Year-to-date, Thai arrivals reached 377,283, reflecting a year-on-year decline of 24.9 percent. Despite the drop, Thailand remains one of Vietnam’s more important tourism markets within the ASEAN region.
Thai tourists are drawn to destinations such as Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi for their shopping, dining, and cultural experiences. Coastal cities like Danang and Nha Trang also attract Thai visitors looking for quick getaways to enjoy Vietnam’s beaches and resorts.
Airlines such as Vietnam Airlines, VietJet Air, and Thai Airways provide direct connections between major cities in Thailand, including Bangkok and Chiang Mai, to Vietnam’s major urban centres. Frequent and affordable flights are a key factor supporting Thai tourist travel.
Although November saw a decline, the steady flow of Thai visitors underscores the continued interest in Vietnam as a travel destination, with room for growth through targeted campaigns and enhanced connectivity.
