Vietnam-Canada trade relations
Vietnam and Canada established diplomatic relations in 1973, with trade ties expanding gradually alongside Vietnam’s economic reforms and deeper integration into global markets.
A major milestone was Vietnam’s entry into the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership, which reduced tariffs and strengthened trade rules, helping to support growing bilateral trade in agriculture, seafood, machinery, and services.
