Vietnam-Philippines trade relations
Vietnam and the Philippines established diplomatic relations in 1976, with trade ties expanding steadily alongside broader ASEAN economic integration.
Bilateral trade has grown on the back of complementary demand, with Vietnam exporting rice, electronics, cement and manufactured goods, while importing agricultural products, energy-related inputs and consumer goods from the Philippines.
Trade relations are anchored in ASEAN frameworks, particularly the ASEAN Free Trade Area.
These agreements have supported rising two-way trade, supply-chain integration and investment flows, positioning Vietnam and the Philippines as increasingly important partners within Southeast Asia’s single market.
