ToggleIn December, Vietnam exported US$508 million worth of goods to Cambodia, up 11.38 percent over November, according to preliminary data from Vietnam’s General Department of Customs.
So far this year, Vietnam has exported US$5,667 million worth of goods to Cambodia.
It also exported US$79.58 million worth of textiles and garments to Cambodia in December. This was up from US$61.23 million in November, a change of 29.97 percent.
Adding to that, Vietnam exported US$64.55 million worth of iron and steel to Cambodia in December. This was up from US$61.42 million in November, a change of 5.11 percent.
It also exported US$37.04 million worth of textile, leather and footwear materials and auxiliaries to Cambodia in December. This was up from US$30.69 million in November, a change of 20.72 percent.
Vietnam also exported US$22.36 million worth of fertilisers to Cambodia in December. This was up from US$16.24 million in November, a change of 37.72 percent.

Vietnam trade with Cambodia
In December, Vietnam imported goods worth US$501.37 million from Cambodia and exported US$507.75 million, bringing total trade to US$1,009.12 million and resulting in a trade surplus of US$6.39 million.
Two-way trade so far this year between Vietnam and Cambodia has reached US$11,329.02 million, with Vietnam importing US$5,661.99 million worth of goods and exporting US$5,667.03 million.

Vietnam-Cambodia news
Recent developments in trade and investment between the two countries include:
VN ag. group issued bonds in Cambodia
Daun Penh Agrico, a Cambodian unit of Vietnam’s Truong Hai Group, raised US$49 million through an eight-year bond guaranteed on the Cambodian Stock Exchange.
The bond carries a 5.25 percent coupon and will fund banana, pineapple, and mango production and processing in Cambodia, as part of a planned US$100 million investment programme.
Counterfeit airpods
Customs authorities seized more than 1,000 counterfeit AirPods transiting Vietnam from China to Cambodia at the Hoa Lu international border gate, officials said.
The shipment was carried by a Hanoi-based firm without authorisation from Apple, and the fake goods were valued at VND 545.9 million (US$20,700), versus VND 5.35 billion (US$203,100) if genuine.

Vietnam-Cambodia trade relations
Trade relations between Vietnam and Cambodia have expanded steadily since the 1990s, following border normalisation and deeper economic integration within mainland Southeast Asia.
The relationship is underpinned by multilateral frameworks including the World Trade Organization and the ASEAN Trade in Goods Agreement, alongside bilateral arrangements facilitating cross-border trade, investment, and transport.
