Vietnam’s exports to South Africa reached US$64.61 million in August, down 11.5 percent from US$73.01 million in July, according to Vietnam’s General Department of Customs.
Year-to-date exports totalled US$566.97 million.
Telephones were the top export at US$25.22 million, followed by other products at US$9.14 million and footwear at US$8.87 million.
Computers brought in US$7.88 million, while machinery and equipment added US$4.63 million.
Textiles and garments contributed US$2.21 million.
Agricultural goods were smaller but notable, with pepper at US$1.04 million, rice at US$394,784, and cashew nuts at US$972,000.
Coffee exports stood at US$147,000, while wood products rose sharply to nearly US$1 million.
