Exports: Vietnam exports to Singapore fall 9.6 percent in August
Vietnam exported goods worth US$482.69 million to Singapore in August, down 9.6 percent from US$533.72 million in July, according to Vietnam’s General Department of Customs. Year-to-date exports reached US$3.87 billion.
Trade: Vietnam exports to South Africa dip 11.5 percent in August
Vietnam’s exports to South Africa reached US$64.61 million in August, down 11.5 percent from US$73.01 million in July, according to Vietnam’s General Department of Customs. Year-to-date exports totalled US$566.97 million.
Imports: Vietnam essential oil and cosmetic imports ease 3.82 percent in August
Vietnam imported US$127.07 million of essential oils, resinoids, perfumery, cosmetic and toilet preparations in August, down 3.82 percent from US$132.11 million in July, according to Vietnam’s General Department of Customs. Year-to-date imports reached US$988.76 million.
Trade: Vietnam soy bean imports rise 2.19 percent in August, led by Brazil, United States
Vietnam imported US$141.70 million of soy beans in August, up 2.19 percent from US$138.66 million in July, according to Vietnam’s General Department of Customs. Year-to-date imports stood at US$837.61 million.
Real estate: Second Vietnam development faces uncertainty on ballooning land use fees
Empire City Joint Venture Company Limited, developer of the Thu Thiem Observation Tower complex in Ho Chi Minh City, has petitioned the city government over a proposed additional land use fee of VND 8,819 billion (US$339 million), Tuoi Tre has reported.
