Swedish tourist arrivals in Vietnam increase by 53.66 percent in November

Vietnam welcomed 3,376 tourists from Sweden in November, marking a month-on-month increase of 1,179 visitors or 53.66 percent, according to Vietnam’s General Department of Tourism.

Year-to-date, Swedish arrivals reached 28,554, reflecting a 27.2 percent growth compared to the same period last year. Sweden remains a steadily growing European source market for Vietnam’s tourism industry.

Swedish travellers are particularly drawn to Vietnam’s rich cultural and historical attractions in cities such as Hanoi, Hue, and Hoi An. Additionally, natural destinations like Halong Bay and the Mekong Delta, as well as beach resorts in Phu Quoc and Nha Trang, are popular choices for leisure travel.

Direct flights between Sweden and Vietnam are unavailable, but airlines such as Qatar Airways, Emirates, and Finnair offer convenient connecting routes via hubs like Doha and Helsinki. These flights ensure accessibility and support the steady growth in Swedish tourist arrivals.

The substantial rise in November arrivals reflects Vietnam’s success in promoting itself as an attractive and diverse destination for European visitors, bolstered by efficient air connectivity and targeted marketing campaigns.
