Vietnam’s plastic product exports reached US$603.23 million in November, showing a marginal month-on-month increase of 0.39 percent, according to Vietnam’s General Department of Customs. The slight growth highlights consistent demand in key markets.
Year-to-date exports of plastic products totalled US$6.07 billion. The United States emerged as the leading importer with US$2.74 billion, marking a 5.27 percent month-on-month increase. Notable growth was also observed in exports to Thailand, which increased by 21.66 percent. However, exports to South Korea and India faced declines of 8.70 percent and 15.38 percent, respectively.
The rise in demand from the US and Thailand demonstrates Vietnam’s ability to cater to diversified markets. Despite fluctuations in certain regions, the industry has maintained overall stability. Strategic initiatives to boost competitiveness and enhance quality will further solidify Vietnam’s position in global markets.
