ToggleVietnam exported plastic products to the tune of US$702 million in December, up from US$619 million in November, a change of 13.41 percent, according to preliminary data from Vietnam’s General Department of Customs.
Year to date, Vietnam had exported US$7,473 million worth of plastic products by the end of December.
The USA accounted for US$362 million worth of Vietnam’s plastic products exports in December. This was up from US$312 million in plastic products exports in November, a change of 16.14 percent. Year to date, Vietnam has shipped US$3,767 million worth of plastic products to the USA.
After the USA was Japan making up US$63 million worth of Vietnam’s plastic products exports in December. This was down from US$67 million in plastic products exports in November, a change of -5.74 percent. Year to date, Vietnam has shipped US$750 million worth of plastic products to Japan.
Next was India taking US$27 million worth of Vietnam’s plastic products exports in December. This was up from US$18 million in plastic products exports in November, a change of 52.52 percent. Year to date, Vietnam has shipped US$280 million worth of plastic products to India.
Following India was South Korea representing US$25 million worth of Vietnam’s plastic products exports in December. This was up from US$23 million in plastic products exports in November, a change of 9.39 percent. Year to date, Vietnam has shipped US$291 million worth of plastic products to South Korea.
Rounding out the top five was China constituting US$20 million worth of Vietnam’s plastic products exports in December. This was up from US$19 million in plastic products exports in November, a change of 3.76 percent. Year to date, Vietnam has shipped US$206 million worth of plastic products to China.
