Fishery products exports from Vietnam down 14.61 percent in November, China and Japan top buyers

Vietnam exported fishery products to the tune of US$990 million in November, down from US$1,159 million in October, a change of -14.61 percent, according to preliminary data from Vietnam’s General Department of Customs.

Year to date, Vietnam had exported US$10,317 million worth of fishery products by the end of November.

China accounted for US$196 million worth of Vietnam’s fishery products exports in November. This was down from US$252 million in fishery products exports in October, a change of -22.27 percent. Year to date, Vietnam has shipped US$2,078 million worth of fishery products to China.

After China was Japan making up US$162 million worth of Vietnam’s fishery products exports in November. This was up from US$160 million in fishery products exports in October, a change of 1.20 percent. Year to date, Vietnam has shipped US$1,557 million worth of fishery products to Japan.

Next was the USA taking US$139 million worth of Vietnam’s fishery products exports in November. This was down from US$226 million in fishery products exports in October, a change of -38.67 percent. Year to date, Vietnam has shipped US$1,783 million worth of fishery products to the USA.

Following the USA was South Korea representing US$78 million worth of Vietnam’s fishery products exports in November. This was down from US$92 million in fishery products exports in October, a change of -15.00 percent. Year to date, Vietnam has shipped US$785 million worth of fishery products to South Korea.

Rounding out the top five was Australia constituting US$33 million worth of Vietnam’s fishery products exports in November. This was down from US$38 million in fishery products exports in October, a change of -13.30 percent. Year to date, Vietnam has shipped US$315 million worth of fishery products to Australia.

Foreign ownership in ASM is currently capped at 53.9 percent, with current foreign ownership sitting at 13.8 percent.

Camimex Group JSC

Camimex Group JSC (CMX) processes and exports shrimp and other seafood products, primarily to the US, Japan, and EU markets.

CMX closed at VND 6,380 on Wednesday up 0.07 percent with 375,000 shares traded, worth VND 239 million.

Foreign ownership in CMX is currently capped at 0.0 percent, with current foreign ownership sitting at 0.0 percent.
