Switzerland registered four new FDI projects in October in Vietnam, but no newly registered capital (NRC) recorded, according to the latest data for October from the Ministry of Planning and Investment. This compares to September, which saw 3 new projects but also no newly registered capital.
Year-to-date figures show a total of 10 new projects and US$106.41 million in newly registered capital, reflecting Switzerland’s ongoing investment in Vietnam. These figures indicate that Switzerland continues to play a role in supporting Vietnam’s economic development, particularly in industries such as manufacturing and processing.
Of note, several Swiss companies have established a presence in Vietnam, including Nestlé, which operates in the food and beverage sector with manufacturing plants producing a variety of products for the local and international market. Novartis, a global healthcare company, has a significant presence in Vietnam, offering pharmaceutical products and services to meet the country’s growing healthcare needs.
Additionally, ABB, a leader in power and automation technologies, has operations in Vietnam, providing products and services that support the country’s energy sector and infrastructure development. These companies reflect Switzerland’s strong and diverse business presence in Vietnam, spanning sectors from food and healthcare to energy and automation.
