Vietnam’s exports to Singapore reached US$433.10 million in October, an increase of 11.71 percent month-on-month. Year-to-date exports to Singapore amounted to US$4.35 billion, according to Vietnam’s General Department of Customs.
Computers, electrical products, and spare parts remained the largest export category at US$97.87 million, despite a slight decline of 3.61 percent compared to September. Machinery, equipment, tools, and instruments grew significantly by 22.20 percent, reaching US$91.00 million.
Petroleum products recorded the most dramatic growth, surging by 238.08 percent to US$22.03 million. Insulated wires and cables also performed strongly, increasing by 101.95 percent to US$10.10 million. Textiles and garments rose by 49.03 percent to US$10.67 million, while rice exports grew by 29.93 percent to US$7.93 million.
Conversely, telephones and mobile phones declined sharply by 38.62 percent, totalling US$7.03 million. Other means of transportation and parts fell by 5.77 percent to US$47.12 million, and chemical products decreased by 4.35 percent to US$3.30 million.
The strong performance in key categories like petroleum products, machinery, and textiles highlights Vietnam’s growing trade relationship with Singapore, despite declines in telephones and transportation parts.
