Vietnam’s clinker and cement industry
Vietnam’s clinker and cement industry is one of the largest in the world, supported by abundant limestone reserves and strong export capacity.
The sector is dominated by the Vietnam Cement Industry Corporation (VICEM) and a mix of state-owned and private producers.
Domestic demand is driven by infrastructure and real estate projects, while exports mainly target markets in South and Southeast Asia, including the Philippines, Bangladesh, and Malaysia.
Despite strong production capacity, the industry faces challenges from high energy costs, oversupply, environmental pressures, and growing competition from regional suppliers.
